By accessing or using CV Lens at cvlens.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

CV Lens is a web-based tool that uses artificial intelligence to analyze the compatibility between a CV (resume) and a job description. The service provides match scores, skill gap analysis, ATS (Applicant Tracking System) warnings, salary insights, and CV optimisation suggestions. Results are generated by AI and are provided for informational purposes only — they do not constitute professional career or legal advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CV Lens. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts

  • Account creation is handled via Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Your content — you retain ownership of any CVs, job descriptions, or other content you upload. By submitting content, you grant CV Lens a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service.
  • Our content — the CV Lens platform, branding, and AI-generated analysis outputs are owned by or licensed to CV Lens. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform by automated means.
  • Upload content that is malicious, fraudulent, or infringes third-party intellectual property.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform or its users.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CV Lens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated results may contain errors or inaccuracies and should not be the sole basis for career decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CV Lens and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, lost opportunities, or reliance on AI-generated analysis.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service; continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which CV Lens operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
